FREE treatment is available to Pennsylvania women who are diagnosed with breast and cervical cancer. Unfortunately many women, and many healthcare providers, are not aware of this program. The PA Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC) is hosting a FREE seminar for medical professionals on Tuesday, October 13 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m to spread the word about the Commonwealth of PA's Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention and Treatment Program (see also Cervical Cancer).
The seminar will be held in the Metro rooms of the Harrisburg Hilton & Towers. It will feature speakers from the PA Department of Health, the PA Health Law Project, PA Department of Welfare and the PBCC who are all knowledgeable about the program. Each speaker will present information to ensure that breast cancer patients without adequate insurance will receive the care and treatment necessary to fight the disease. All interested medical professionals are encouraged to attend. Reserve your spot today by calling Jennifer at 1-800-377-8828 x101 or email Jennifer@pabreastcancer.org
Funding for this seminar is provided by Jeanne & Ed Arnold of Lebanon.
'No woman with breast cancer should be denied treatment - regardless of their income or insurance situation,' said Pat Halpin-Murphy, PBCC President and Founder. 'Through this seminar, we seek to empower those who care for breast cancer survivors with the information and resources they need to help those without insurance and ensure that they receive breast cancer treatment.'
The PA Breast Cancer Coalition represents, supports and serves breast cancer survivors and their families in Pennsylvania through educational programming, legislative advocacy and unique outreach initiatives. The PBCC is a statewide non-profit organization that is dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer now. . .so our daughters won't have to[c].
