REP. ALTMIRE ANNOUNCES HEALTH CARE ADVISORY BOARD - US Fed News Service, Including US State News

Rep. Jason Altmire, D-Pa. (4th CD), has issued the following news release:

Rep. Jason Altmire today announced the creation of his Health Care Advisory Board. The Advisory Board consists of health care leaders from throughout the Fourth Congressional District and will provide Rep. Altmire with input on a wide range of health care issues facing western Pennsylvania and the nation. This morning, the group held its inaugural meeting at the Ross Township Municipal Building. 'Access to high-quality, affordable health care is the number one issue facing hard working families in western Pennsylvania and across the country,' said Congressman Altmire. 'As Congress moves forward in addressing the nation's pressing health care concerns, especially the problem of rising health care costs and finding ways to cover the 47 million Americans who are currently uninsured, it is imperative that I hear from local leaders and individuals in the community who are on the front lines each day providing health care and services.' 'The members of my Health Care Advisory Board represent a broad spectrum of the local health care community. I look forward to meeting with them regularly to discuss how to improve the delivery of health care, the impact of proposed legislation, and how to best meet the health care needs of western Pennsylvania's families.'
